What are your prices?

Rates vary from event to event. Please contact me to discuss prices.

Do you offer Discounts or Special Rates?

Yes for multi-hour events and parties lasting more than 3 hours. Birthday parties are non-negotiable as they are already competitive with other entertainers in the area. I invest lots of time and money into my talents. Buying the best professional supplies that are on the market, taking classes, marketing and lots of " behind the scenes work" so that I can provide the best experience for your special event.

Do you have to dress in Clown?

The answer is no. I love to dress in clown but realize that all events are not suitable for a clown. I have several wonderful outfits that will fit just right into the atmosphere of your event. I have several colorful vests that I can wear with dress slacks and a red hat. With a little bit of red blush and a sprinkle of glitter. I am dressed to entertain. When it is over 95 degrees it is best that I dress down also. You do not want a heat stroke clown at your event. I have had many parents tell me that their child used to be afraid of clowns, but they like me because I do not wear much clown makeup. They even have called me the "Strawberry Shortcake Clown" We can discuss my attire for your event at the time of booking.

How should I pay you?

For larger events I require 25% down payment to hold the date and time. It can be mailed in the form of a check or money order. For corporate event, I can supply an invoice for payment.

Should I hire a second entertainer?

Having an additional entertainer is always a great idea, especially if you are having a large event. A second person can help ensure that your party guests get their face painted and balloons twisted in a timely fashion, so they can enjoy the rest of the activities the party has to offer. When booking, I will ask how many guests you are expecting, what services you are interested in and how long you want your entertainment to be. I will then suggest if a second entertainer would be needed.

Can you do indoor and outdoor events?

Yes I can. Please have a back up plan for inclement weather or extreme temperatures. Also keep in mind that balloons may pop more easily in extreme heat. Please provide me with a shaded spot if outdoors.

How far do you travel?

I try to stay in the Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding area. However I will travel other places especially if they have white sandy beaches and palm trees near by! I do charge the current IRS mileage allowance if events are more than 20 miles outside the city limits of Lincoln. Depending on how far the event is out of town I must be booked a certain amount of hours. I may also recommend another entertainer that may be closer to you.

What time should you have me come to the event?

If it's a private party I would suggest that I come 30 minutes after your party starts. That way all your guests should have arrived. I will arrive a few minutes early to set up.  Set up and tear down of my supplies is on my time not yours.

How far in advance should I book my event?

There are times I have booking 6-8 months out. So there is no set rule on this. Remember spring, summer and fall are my busy months. Friday, Saturday, and Sundays are prime days so call early. If your event is during the week I would say book 4-8 weeks in advance.  If you are planning a last minute event do not hesitate to call I can sometime work you in or recommend another entertainer.

Do you do Volunteer/Charity work?

Yes I do! I have to limit myself to a certain number of events per year because this is my primary income. If you really want me at your event and I am unable to do it as a volunteer, I will suggest you find a local sponsor to pay my fee. It is a win win for your event and for the sponsor being allowed to advertise their business at your event.

What type of supplies do you use?

I use professional balloons for balloon twisting. Qualatex and Betallic brands. I use professional FDA approved face paints and cosmetic grade glitters and glues for glitter tattoos. If using sponges, I use one sponge per child. I use Brush bath in my water to wash and sanitize my brushes between each child. Please remember even when using FDA approved face paints, children could still be allergic or sensitive to face paints. If your child is, or has been sensitive to face painting I would recommend not to get their face painted, or suggest they get something small on their hand instead. Face paints can be easily washed off with soap and water. Some paints are a little more difficult to remove but it is nothing that a bath cannot take care of.

Do you face paint or make balloons for babies and toddlers?

I recommend that these are for children 3 and up, although I do many 1st birthday parties. Face painting: If, as a parent you wish to have your baby or toddler face painted please have them sit on your lap. I am happy to paint something small as long as the child can sit fairly still. Face painting should be fun. I will not face paint on an unwilling child who is crying and has to be restrained. Balloons can be a choking hazard. I require that adult supervision is around at all times when I am making balloons for children. If a parent asks for a balloon for a baby or toddler, I will make the balloon for the parent only. Then I will give it to the parent and remind them to watch their child carefully and not let them put it in their mouth.

Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. If you postpone your event I will apply your deposit to a future event if it is booked within 30 days of the original date. If I get sick, or for some other reason beyond my control, I cannot make it to your event, I will do everything possible to get a replacement to cover and have someone make it to your event. I know many entertainers in the area. In the past 25 yrs I have only had to do this one time and that was because my husband surprised me with an anniversary trip to Antigua!

What if more kids show up than expected?

It is hard to predict how many guests will show. It is always best to tell me at the time of booking how many guest are invited so that I can be prepared. It may be necessary to either cut out an activity or add more time to the party. I am always happy to add time if possible. However many times I have back-to-back events schedule during my day and I do not have the time to do that.

Do you accept tips?

Tips are never expected but always appreciated.
Thank you.

Do I need to provide anything for you?

I will provide everything I need on my end. It would be nice if you remember to keep me out of the hot sun. Provide me a shady area on hot days and a cool beverage once in a while. If you have an extra table and a couple of chairs that would be great. It would be less set up and tear down time for me. Then one final thing. When the event time is about over I could use an adult to help close my line down either on the balloon line, the face painting line, or both.
